    Refund Policy

    Tea App provides people lookup reports compiled from licensed data sources (People Data Labs) and publicly available information. All transactions are processed in USD via Stripe. Because our products deliver digital information that cannot be “returned” once viewed, all sales are generally final. We encourage you to use the free trial to evaluate the Service before committing to a paid subscription.

    1.Free Trial — Try Before You Pay

    Every subscription starts with a 7-day free trial.

    You will not be charged during the trial period. Cancel anytime before the trial ends and you will never be billed. This is your opportunity to evaluate the Service risk-free.

    If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan and your payment method will be charged. By continuing past the trial, you acknowledge that you have evaluated the Service and agree to the subscription terms.

    2.No Refunds on Delivered Data Products

    All sales are final once data has been accessed or a report has been generated.

    Lookup reports and other information products deliver data that cannot be “returned.” Once you access a report, the transaction is complete.

    This includes:

    • Lookup reports that have been viewed or generated
    • Lookup requests that have been processed
    • Any information product where results have been delivered to your account
    • Subscription periods where the Service was available and accessible

    3.Subscription Cancellation

    You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at hello@theteaapp.co. When you cancel:

    • Your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing period.
    • You will not be charged for subsequent billing periods.
    • No partial refunds are issued for unused time within your current billing period.
    • You retain access to any reports already generated.

    4.Exceptions — When We Will Issue a Refund

    We will issue refunds only in the following limited circumstances:

    Billing Errors

    • Duplicate charges: If you were charged more than once for the same billing period, we will refund the duplicate.
    • Post-cancellation charges: If you were charged after successfully cancelling your subscription, we will issue a full refund for the erroneous charge.
    • Unauthorized charges: If your account was compromised and unauthorized purchases were made, contact us immediately.

    Service Failure

    • Complete service outage: If the Service was entirely unavailable for a significant portion of your billing period due to our fault, you may request a prorated credit or refund.
    • Failed report delivery: If a lookup report could not be generated or delivered due to a technical error on our end, we will refund the associated charge or provide a credit.

    5.Not Eligible for Refund

    Refunds will not be issued for

    • Lookup reports that have been generated and accessed, regardless of the results
    • Dissatisfaction with lookup report results (results depend on available data sources and may vary)
    • Failure to cancel before a free trial converts to a paid subscription
    • Unused portions of a billing period after cancellation
    • Accounts suspended or terminated for violation of our Terms of Service
    • Change of mind after subscribing
    • One-time purchases (such as content removal requests) once work has begun

    6.How to Request a Refund

    If you believe you qualify for a refund under the exceptions above, email us at hello@theteaapp.co with:

    • Your account email address
    • The date and amount of the charge in question
    • The specific reason for your refund request

    We will review your request and respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method and may take 5-10 business days to appear on your statement.

    7.Chargebacks and Disputes

    You always retain the right to dispute a charge with your bank or payment provider. However, we encourage you to contact us first at hello@theteaapp.co so we can resolve any billing concerns directly. Most issues can be resolved quickly without needing to involve your financial institution.

    8.Changes to This Policy

    We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
